Well, this is where it all starts I suppose. I quietly put in an application a while ago to run in the Virgin London Marathon 2010 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Did I really think I’d get a ticket? I’d heard it was really difficult to get a place so no-one was more surprised than me when I got a phone call yesterday from a girl called Alice at Macmillan.
“Welcome to the Team” she said, “Blimey” I thought … this is serious stuff…I’m in!
So here begins a journey – a long and painful one I’m guessing but I’m dragging you along with me. I’m going to record my training ups and downs, what makes me tick, fundraising news and the daft things I experience along the way.
