Can you help me win £500 for my fundraising target for Macmillan Cancer Support?
Of course you can! I knew you’d be able to help. Here’s the deal: This is a copy of the email I received from JustGiving.com
“Congratulations on raising £622 so far! Not a bad start.
There’s still 14 weeks to go, but no reason to slow down now,
so we’re offering the added incentive of £500 for the London Marathon page
that succeeds in getting the most people to donate over the next 10 days (22nd January – 1st February). “
As you can see, I’m a long way off my target of £5,000 ..So if you can sponsor me £1 or $1 or 1 euro ..well, ..I’d be very, very grateful and if enough of you go to my fundraising page at JustGiving ..maybe, just maybe, we could be in with a shout of winning that £500! Remember it’s the highest number of donations to my page, not the amount donated, that could win the JustGiving competition .. so please pass this message on to all your friends and family and anyone else you know who would like to help people living with cancer…. and a rather mad Englishwoman who keeps entering running races!!
10,446 … That’s how many people have already set up their London marathon 2010 JustGiving page
£285 … That’s the average in donations for those who have already started fundraising
£1.6 million has already gone straight to charity!

I use to do stuff via JustGiving, but then I found http://www.bmycharity.com (these guys do not take a commission amount).
Thanks for the info John. I heard that Virgin Money Giving do a similar thing. Difficult now to switch though
