I opened my email this morning to find a message from those lovely people organising the World’s First Kilomathon … they tell me there’s only 4 weeks of training till the big event and the 1st of my challenges!
Oh..my…goodness!!
With that in mind, tomorrow is the day for my long run and I’m hoping to do a verrrry looong run indeed. I never like to say out loud the distances/speed/time I’m aiming for but I promise to tell you all the details as soon as it’s done.

RACE CREW WANTED: 14th March 2010
If you fancy a great day out in Nottingham/Derby and are coming along to support the Kilomathon runners but would like to do more than stand and watch, Kilomathon organisers are looking for Race Crew. They need:
- racecourse stewards
- water and energy station marshals
- goody bag and registration crew
- start/finish officials
- as well as Race Crew in many other areas.
Anyone over 15 years old can join the Race Crew Team (race crew under 18 must be accompanied by an adult). They would really appreciate your help. Race Crew are an important part of every runner’s experience and they really make a difference.
If you become part of the Kilomathon Race Crew you can expect:
- An official Kilomathon t-shirt
- Each role earns a minimum of £15 which can be donated to the charity of your choice
- Lunch vouchers to buy a delicious lunch
- A certificate to mark your contribution to the event
- A truly fantastic experience and a wonderful day!
