The last couple of days have been manic. I’m full of nerves and excitement and feeling as jumpy as a box of frogs!
An unexpected surprise landed in my inbox a few days ago from a very nice man at Nokia. Initially, I thought it was a wind up but having spoken to Mr. Nokia (aka James) it appears all is legit! I’ve been asked to trial some lovely new Nokia headphones as I run the London Marathon. Clearly running with just a pair of headphones is a bit pointless, unless you have a super duper shiny Nokia N97 to go with them to pump out those tracks for motivation…which James also arranged to send to me!
I love technology .. I love gadgets .. and I’ve been ever so excited to get my hands and these two lovely Nokia products! Nokia have even made sure to send me an armband so that it should be easy to have music and calls on the run …hmm not sure I’ll be in any fit state to speak to anyone though!
It was like Christmas yesterday when a large package arrived by courier. Here are the delicious new headphones:

I’ve also been having a good look around the Nokia app store, called Ovi … hmmm… I think they might need some help re-naming some of their stuff.. BH-214? Ovi? Not exactly catchy names are they? Catchy names aside, the N97 seems to have a ton of stuff that will help me on my way round the London Marathon. I’m particularly taken with the Endomondo Sports Tracker app!
Last night I had a slight sense of humour failure when trying to move my iTunes library across to Nokia’s software .. it took ages! And then I found that the PC to phone cable was missing. Not deterred by this and eager to play with these new gadgets, I turned my little office/study/paperwork pit upside down and eventually found another cable. My marathon playlist is loaded! Hurrah! ….. check back later to see how I got on with the Nokia headset…and some more photos!
